The Society

We are a woman-founded Mahjong league created by a mom who loves the game and the community it builds.

Our mission is to honor the legacy of the National Mah Jongg League (NMJL) while evolving the game for a new generation. We play with deep respect for the classic American Mahjong rules—but we're not afraid to modernize them.

This is Mahjong reimagined:

✦ A refreshed card that’s thoughtfully updated—recognizable yet bold.

✦ A league led by women and built for women, creating space for connection, joy, and empowerment.

✦ A lower priced card to enable people the option to play on multiple cards throughout the year. This will keep the game fresh and your mind sharp! You can also take the money saved to give to charities of your choice versus those of our choosing. 

We believe in the power of tradition and the importance of progress. We’re preserving what makes Mahjong beloved while creating something entirely our own.
